REES Co-op Program Coordinator
Reaching E-Quality Employment Services (REES) is seeking a motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Co-op Program Coordinator.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting intake interviews, identifying consumer needs and objectives, and establishing a plan of action to attain goals
Providing support and assistance to consumers regarding issues and barriers to employment
Preparing resumes and cover letters
Conducting labour market research and accessing employment information
Exploring education/training options and assisting consumers to access resources
Communicating with community organizations and making referrals
Maintaining accurate and current documentation
Facilitating group seminars
Skills we are looking for:
Employment Counselling and assessment skills
Knowledge of community resources and the local, current labour market
Excellent problem solving skills with an understanding of barriers to employment
Knowledge of disability-related employment issues and job accommodation
A degree in a relevant discipline or a combination of education and experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective computer skills: Word, Excel, Internet & Email
Comfortable working with individuals with disabilities and from diverse backgrounds
