Sandvik Mining seeks a Lifetime Support Services Manager Sandvik Mining is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling. THE ROLE This position is responsible for development and implementation of initiatives within the defined product development location. Main responsibilities include coaching, managing and directing the activities of the designated Lifetime Support Services team assigned to the specific product lines. This role will be located in Winnipeg, MB. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Ensure the consistent implementation of key strategic and operational objectives. This includes Technical Support Desks (TSDs), Component program development; lifecycle costing and reliability initiatives; New Product Development (NPD) projects and participation; documentation standards and initiatives. - Responsible for the creation of equipment parts, service, and maintenance manuals. Ensure that the delivery of the manuals closely matches the delivery of the machines. - Responsible for the management and development of the Lifetime Support resources as well as the identification and development of key talent. - Ensure the creation of lifetime Predictive Operating Costs (POC) operating cost models for every active high volume model. - Responsible for the consistent development of supporting roles and structure across the operational site. - Practice Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM2) methods during NPD project meetings and produce on time delivery of Lifetime maintenance models and operating costs. - Planning and implementing aftermarket systems and processes in line with Sandvik's OH&S policies, procedures and objective at all times. Ensure that safety leadership initiatives are actively and consistently implemented. - Develop clear component maintenance and repair strategies with pricing / volume / margin targets for any proprietary components and parts. - Bring a 'best practice' approach across the operation when it comes to operational standards, implementations, metrics, roles, and performance reporting. - Build solid relationships across departmental lines and establish a communication network between aftermarket resources, Regional Product Managers, R&D, and Supply. - Implemented metrics on safety leadership initiatives. - Active site participation in safety forums, panels, meetings, teams, and initiatives.
